Step inside Soundhouse, a three-day takeover of V&A East Storehouse transforming the Storehouse into a living instrument. In collaboration with UCL East and Yamaha, Soundhouse brings together artists, researchers, and technologists from around the world to explore how sound can shape our experience of place, history, and material culture.
Across the Storehouse, fifteen immersive installations reimagine what a “sonic museum” could be — where objects are heard as much as seen, and sound itself becomes an artefact. From interactive compositions and spatial audio works to live performances that animate the collections, Soundhouse celebrates experimentation at the intersection of art, technology, and public imagination.
Part of the 17th International Symposium on Computer Music Multidisciplinary Research (CMMR 2025), hosted in East London under the theme Sound, Music: Space, Place.
