Hand & Lock Online Workshop

This beginner-friendly workshop introduces key goldwork and bead embroidery techniques in a relaxed and supportive setting. You’ll start by exploring pearl purl, learning how to handle the material and stitch it neatly to create decorative outlines. You’ll then work with bullion to form small bows, a playful detail drawn from 18th-century fashion. Beads will be added to build texture and shine, helping you understand how different materials can work together in one design.

By the end of the class, you’ll complete an embroidery sample inspired by Marie Antoinette’s iconic style. This course is perfect for anyone new to goldwork and bead embroidery and offers an enjoyable first step into working with metal threads.

This workshop is happening twice in one day. The first session will be 14.00-17.00 and the second 18.00-21.00. You'll select your preference when booking.
