Mini Jam (November 2025)
Creative celebrations for families to enjoy live music, move, play and make together.
Join us for a chance to make memories as a family.
This creative event will include opportunities to connect through sensory play, experience live music, dance and create something to transform yourself.
The event will build on the sensory exploration of the sell-out Mini Play sessions, inspired by objects from our Play gallery and will include live music from Tawanda Mapanda.
Tawanda Mapanda is a musician and early years music educator. He inspires young children through interactive music sessions featuring instruments such as the mbira, marimba, saxophone, and African drums. Blending traditional and contemporary sounds, Tawanda creates joyful, hands-on musical experiences that nurture creativity, rhythm, and a lifelong love of music.

- Each event lasts 90 minutes and you are welcome to come and go within that time.
- The morning event from 10:30-12:00 is suggested for Under 2s and their families and the afternoon event from 14:00-15:30 is suggested for Under 5s and their families.
- Everyone coming must have a ticket for this event.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult during the workshop. Multiple adults can attend with a child.
- If the V&A needs to cancel the event due to an emergency, or for any reason beyond the control of the V&A, we will reschedule your booking for a later date or offer a refund.
