Marie Antoinette had a profound effect on all aspects of fashion during her reign as Queen of France from 1774 until 1792. Her influence as a Royal Style setter drove a luxury economy which cemented Paris as the global style capital. This tour will look at examples of fashion styles from the V & A collection concurrent with her reign, incorporating dresses, waistcoats, luxury silks, lace and accessories.
