Make Space: November

Enjoy a relaxed evening of creativity, making and conversations.  Take part in activity from sculpture to costume, zine-making to textiles. Celebrate the rich creativity and cultures of east London and enjoy access to the incredible V&A collections at V&A East Storehouse. 

Join artist Sally Barton, to collectively make photography & performance backdrops used for fashion editorials, performance and film.   During the workshop, you will be working in small groups to transform a selection of textiles, paper, drawing materials and printed imagery, into creative backdrops. There will be time to photograph each other or objects in front of your creations.  If you are a designer of clothing, accessories and products or an artist needing a backdrop for your latest sculpture, then bring these creations along with you to the workshop.  

All materials will be provided.

No previous experience needed. 

These two hour sessions are for anyone aged 16-24 years, living, working or studying in east London. 

Please double-check that you are available for an event before booking tickets. If the V&A needs to cancel the event due to an emergency, or for any reason beyond the control of the V&A, we will reschedule your booking for a later date where possible.
